Sometimes words reveal themselves and pile on themselves such a mountain of meanings that they completely hide the essence. Special means understandable only to a specialist. And not just one, because it is necessary to ensure the activity of the society at once in many specialized aspects. And here in front of you is a squad of wise men-mole-aspectologists, each of whom has been so deeply immersed in his own aspect for so long that he has become blind and is no longer able to see or understand even a neighboring mole. You should not even think about understanding what is happening as a whole and what needs to be done about it.
What does a good housewife talk about in the house? So that it was clean, warm, beautiful, cozy, satisfying, cheerful and no worse than others. This is encouraging - we want to return to this house if we are lucky enough to live in it, and we are glad if they invite us to visit!
Crossing the threshold of my house or entering the city, I become a guest of the Infra-mistress — an infrastructure that meets me and wants to make an impression.
(In order to understand something complex, and perhaps even suggest how to correct and improve it, it is necessary to turn this ephemeral "something" into a personalized "someone" from whom it is already possible to find out what he wants, and even how help him with this.)
So, how can we help you, our Kyiv Infra-hostess, so that you are pleased with the recognition of your hospitality? How can every little housewife help you?
I think so: the hostess leaves her house, which, of course, is in order (even if something violates it - everything will certainly be fixed!), and... falls into urban chaos, into the unbalanced megastructure of a metropolis, where, it seems, nobody is anything I didn't even intend to organize it. And if you start to understand and listen to everyone one by one, you will find nothing but mutual accusations of inaction or wrong actions!
Crossing the threshold of my house or entering the city, I become a guest of the Infra-mistress — an infrastructure that meets me and wants to make an impression
Join the game of finding the culprit? Not to mention efficiency, it's simply uninteresting thanks to delegation (even if your husband is the mayor, he has an impenetrable alibi). Tolerate and reflect? Sing a beautiful blues about it? But the music of a housewife (even if she is not deprived of musical abilities) on the theme of the fragility of human striving for perfection will not replace hospitality and the cleaning that precedes it! Why should our Infra hostess stoop to this?
No! We must not allow this. We ourselves! We, the owners of private home microstructures, should not allow the defeatist demarches of our infra-colleague!
How do we put things in order? We condense the space and push out of our world everything that interferes with order (of course, taking into account separate garbage disposal).
How does an Infra hostess put order in the infrastructure? Yes, exactly the same!
Who can do it? Yes, actually, only we can do everything. Remove everything that interferes with the limits of our big city house with the intentions announced on the air. (Sorry for the gender segregation, but men can't even come close to this: they will definitely try to fix their rusty toys somewhere instead of throwing them away. And no, it's not about Corten.)
So, the proposed method is "The Housewife's Way". In fact, each of us goes through the same path from day to day: home — kindergarten — school — work — home (strike out what is unnecessary, add what is necessary). He passes on foot or by pressing the pedals of his car (rarely - a bicycle, if necessary - with a trailer for children, as in Amsterdam), or jumping on the footboards of public transport. Everything that meets the hostess's gaze on this path must surely please him. Everything that upsets must be thrown away! Out of sight - out of the heart.
For example: in the morning, our hostess leaves the parking lot in her car (electric) with a child strapped to the back seat. The first of the objects not yet urban, but semi-private-infrastructure, it already meets in some places the rusty fence of the residential complex with a gate or a barrier that opens every once in a while. Why? After all, on the one hand, the violators of public order in a fit managed to simply shake off this rusting parody, and thrift did not allow the neighboring community to build something worthy. And as a result — a rusting pile of metal!
Why build a half-town on the other side of the river at all, if it is not possible to transfer a sufficient number of bridges there?
A turn onto the city road along the park - and the eye is delighted by coniferous greenery, and behind it paths, benches, and even "green buildings": on a weekend in the city, almost anything can be forgiven for the beautiful, landscaped and almost landscaped park across the street. But today is a working day... A few turns - and just as the navigator predicted, you will be met by the tail of the traffic queue on the bridge. Why build a half-town on the other side of the river at all, if it is not possible to transfer a sufficient number of bridges there? If the river is wide and not every bird will fly to its middle, what does that say about building a bridge? It was possible to leave only the railway and develop the entire urbanism to the west, building up Bucha and getting to Zhytomyr! And on the left bank - only swimming and rare species of mosquitoes. And no - no one is justified! If you can't do it well, don't do it at all. Why repair all the bridges at the same time, halving the flow on each of them? Stop one bridge. Start and take on the next! Yes, people will be forced to say that they will not come because they closed the bridge. And what? Are the borders closed because of the corona virus? And because of the rusting bridge, it is also possible.
And of course, the ceremony with descents from the under-construction bridge across the post-dachshund village is pleasing: if near the house of our heroine they started to build a descent from the bridge to the right bank - by God, it would add calories to the builders' dinners. This is the way to freedom! To be able to quickly reach the necessary infrastructure facilities on the right bank. For what reason can you argue with this? Because you personally do not need to go to the right bank? Not necessary for civilization? So if you don't need all the advantages of metropolitan urbanism, sell your piece of expensive metropolitan land and buy a much larger plot outside the garden! Where there is fresh air, no urbanism and no bridges under construction for at least another five hundred years.
Right bank! Hooray! A little more - and the kindergarten meets with post-quarantine temperature checks of the child. And why not near the house? Why are you not outraged that it is not within guaranteed walking distance? Why go to the other side? But there are no outraged people here. Of course, it is worth overcoming the distance in search of the best path for the child! And yes, you still have to cross the river on your way to work.
Hem Without which, if you believe the song, Kyiv is impossible. What a song, such a Hem: kabatsky. Dirty, noisy, pompous, teeming with rattling carts and chattering people. The feeling, as if some unfriendly magician cast a spell on these six dozen quarters, which stops any initiative of cleaning and bringing order, along the way turning everything around into ruins, similar to the under-reconstructed Guest House - dirty, rusting and falling apart. Does anyone remember why the Gostiny was not completed? When will it be completed? It doesn't matter! The ruin does not attract attention! Because the Hostiny dvor fulfilled the predestined spell — it became a shambles.
But the new facade of Drozdov on Sahaidachny is shocking! Not because there is something wrong with his architecture (no one from the opponents will really explain to you what they don't like), but because he challenges the spell. This facade does not want and is not going to be a ruin. And he demands, with his strict architectural example, that the rest of the facades of Podol's houses also put themselves in order. Warts of glazing, air-conditioning, and advertising were cut with liquid nitrogen and roofs were repaired. And that's it! You don't even need to decorate the facades in honor of the holidays - architecture can age beautifully if you protect it from rust stains and vandalism (example - Italian cities).
Hlybochytskaya leads from Podol, which climbs up with a deafening clang, a tram that, completely unexpectedly for itself, has suddenly become a positive driver of new urbanism. Public electric transport? Great! But is it necessary for him to rattle and rattle so godlessly along with the whole street? Is the urban revolution really rushing towards us on this "armored train"? There is no way to dress the wheels in rubber rims, like his western colleagues (as well as eastern, southern and northern ones)?
Why is the infrastructure better on the right bank than on the left? Maybe under the influence of the Cornelius force (arising from the rotation of the earth and in particular responsible for the fact that the right bank is high, and the left bank is flat) the culture is simply blown to the right?
... But stone disarchitecture is even worse! Because it is more expensive and because it is more expensive and harder to break
And perhaps, because the left bank has been built up for the last 60 years, when the architects finally gave up and allowed everything except for some objects in the city center to be built with dis-architecture. Of course, even earlier, most people lived outside architecture - in dugouts, favelas, shacks and other shantytowns. But at some point, people for some reason decided that the shack was bad, because it was not made of concrete, and rushed to build reinforced concrete shacks. But stone disarchitecture is even worse! Because it is more expensive and because it is more expensive and harder to break.
Architects need to return the power, right and obligation to architecturally organize and harmonize the entire space of human activity, and not just the right bank, the historical center or, on the contrary, the suburb built up with villas!
And a question to the residents of Kyiv's left bank who write indignant comments about the Drozdovsky facade on Sahaidachny: Why don't you close Facebook and look out the window? What will you see from it? Direct your energy to the revitalization of the environment, at least around your home! The need for architects, developers and city authorities will turn disarchitectural slums into a harmonious architectural space.
Technically it's simple!
I would like to.
