Real customers and current specifications. The purpose of the competition is to stimulate future architects to solve practical, everyday problems. Last year, students developed a project for a residential building in the affordable housing segment in Mariupol. The client was the Mariupol City Council. Currently, the project documentation is being finalized in accordance with European standards. The object will be the first residential house in Ukraine with a metal frame.

This year, the Mariupol City Council ordered a project for a social center building, and the customers of the residential complex Alfa Residence in Dnipro were UTG Residence and the developer of the DC Evolution project.
20 projects passed the preliminary selection, and the jury chose the winners from among them. The evaluation was based on the following criteria: the use of metal structures as the main material, the correspondence of architectural and constructive forms, urban planning concept, functionality and artistic expressiveness, originality and novelty of the idea.

The winning teams, which took 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, received cash certificates in the amount of UAH 30, UAH 000 and UAH 25 from the organizer of the competition, the Association of the UCSS, souvenirs and software licenses from the competition partners — Metinvest, Tekla / Trimble companies and Lyra-CAD.
The social center project from the M-521 team received high praise not only from the competition jury. The archimatika company awarded Kateryna Bondarenko and Anna Monastyretskaya with participation in the Creating Homes for Tomorrow workshop in Helsinki and Kyiv, and the editors of PRAGMATIKA.MEDIA awarded a certificate for the publication of the article in the next volume of the magazine.
