Van Gogh's bedroom and Kandinsky's dining room. Designers "revived" six rooms from famous paintings

Studio Neomam from Great Britain showed what the interiors of six paintings by famous artists really looked like.

The project of visualization of world art masterpieces was commissioned by the HomeAdvisor portal. "At a time when famous artists often worked from "real life" scenarios, such paintings as "The Bedroom at Arles" by Van Gogh or "My Dining Room" by Kandinsky appear as dubious historical documents. They tell us as much about the artist's state of mind as they do about the decorative trends of the XNUMXth or early XNUMXth century," the authors of the project noted.

"A Bedroom in Arles" (1888–1889), Van Gogh

"Interior (My Dining Room)" (1909), Wassyl Kandinsky

The Sun Shines on the Corner (1928), Grant Wood

"The Drawing Room of Empress Alexandra Feodorovna" (1855), Eduard Gau

"Interior. Okhotine" (1913), Konstantin Korovin

"Interior with calm paintings" (1991), Roy Lichtenstein

With such visualizations, HomeAdvisor wanted to inspire people to create their own interiors.

To create realistic renderings of the rooms, the team collaborated with research specialist Charlie Ashton, editor Jonathan Eddy, artist and interior designer Andriy Barinov and art director Povilas Daknis.
