MONO architects, a Kiev office specializing in aesthetic and functional minimalism, realized the interior of a three-level penthouse in the concept of a so-called timeless interior.

The Penthouse 180 project was developed for a family with children. "Our task was to create the most spacious, modern and functional space with comfort in use for the whole family," says the chief architect and founder of MONO architects Viktoria Oskilko.

A panoramic view of the water surface of the Dnieper and both banks of Kyiv is one of the advantages of the apartments, which the architects tried to emphasize. Practically, from the penthouse, you can observe the space 180° around (this fact gave the name of the project). With the silhouette of the stairs against the background of the windows, the MONO architects team of the hotel will emphasize the strict geometry in the interior.

The large area of the apartment allowed the architects to organize spacious rooms. The first floor is completely occupied by a common area with a kitchen, dining room, living room and terrace. The second and third levels are mainly reserved for private functions. There are bedrooms for parents and children, a guest room, a wardrobe and bathrooms with a laundry room.

As in its other projects, the MONO architects studio adhered to the principles of "timeless interior", which consists in creating a neutral space that is not overloaded with details. The mood of the design is given by art objects and individual elements that can be changed and reorganized so that the interior does not get boring.

Based on these principles, a calm palette with a predominance of different shades of gray and beige was chosen for Penthouse 180. Different materials were used in the decoration, including natural ones (marble in the fireplace area, oak for the parquet board). The steps of the stairs are made of porcelain tiles, the ends are covered with artificial stone. "The designers paid special attention to the joining of surfaces: the joints of all materials are adjusted with filigree precision with the help of shadow seams. This gives the design the neatness and precision of today's popular minimalism," the architects drew attention.

The "smart home" system implemented in the project is designed to ensure the comfort of the residents in the apartment. In particular, it will control the shutters on the panoramic windows, with the help of which you can adjust the amount of sunlight entering the premises.

"Working on the Penthouse 180 project, we tried to show our vision of the housing of the future: maximum free space and light, beautiful landscapes and hi-tech systems for a comfortable life," MONO architects summarize.
