Unique ornament of the Vyshto house. Ukrainian authenticity from MAKHNO studio

Ukrainian authenticity encoded in modern design and architecture is a frequent request of clients, the studio notes. "We believe that respect for the past is the key to a conscious future. Studio MAKHNO shares this philosophy, so in the Vyshyto house we tried to reveal Ukrainian ethnicity once again. Maintain a balance between national self-improvement and modern visual solutions. Create your own unique ornament", its authors say about the project.

The project was developed for a large family: a married couple and their four children. The family respects the national heritage, so they wanted it to be firmly woven into the DNA of their future home.

"In this house, the meanings of the modern Ukrainian style of MAKHNO Studio, past and present are intertwined, and what is very important - the energy of the customers, as an ornament on the central cabinet, which is repeated throughout the house, and the iconic hanging lamps Khmara create the illusion of an atmosphere similar to the sky. Authentic colors meet the gaze of guests and tell their own little stories. We emphasized this with an ornament and our DIDO, which protects the home from bad energy," say the designers. 

The walls of the living room are decorated with authentic Ukrainian works of art. The large room is filled with national artifacts, antique utensils, grandfathers and interesting exhibits.

The color palette of the hallway and living room reproduces the colors of national clothing: white and red. Wooden shades add to the space the spirit of nature, an important component of Ukrainian culture.

The unique composition of KHMARA lamps prevents accidents and creates a cozy atmosphere in the family circle.

On the same floor is the bedroom of one of the sons, who is passionate about collecting stones. The team tried to achieve an atmosphere that would fully correspond to his interests.

The magical lamp MAKIVKA dissolves the light from its bottomless holes and greatly disturbs the level of the line of the room.

Walls visually move with our award-winning 3D TETRAPOD tile. Our LAKUNA lamp hangs next to the bed. It gives the bedroom a pleasant austerity, which reliably hides in the morning.

In the entrance area of ​​another son's room, TETRAPOD 3D tile in turquoise shade is used. 

"On the ceiling is the beautiful KVITKA - a lamp that we grow in our studio. With its warm light, KVITKA saturates with spring coziness for the whole year," say the designers.

The wall next to the bed is decorated with Naruto's favorite heroes - lamps from the CRUST series, which also came out of the MAKHNO Studio workshop.

The unique national ornament is delicately surrounded by a spiral staircase leading to the second floor.

Another nursery maintains a commitment to pure white. The walls are decorated with FlapJack tiles. Its 3D texture adds volume, deepening the room. Sopilka lamps are installed in the bed area. They enchant the room with a gentle harmony of warm light. 

The next room with a large tree on the wall is a spacious children's living room.

The transit zone on the other side of the house could go unnoticed. But they decided not to hide it, but, on the contrary, to create something bright. That is why the designer pipe has become an expressive source of lighting.

Stairs lead to an atmospheric library. Straight lines and shades of wood dominate here, which can be seen even in the rails of the cabinet. 

Then the huge room was expanded and divided into several functional spaces. At the entrance - a rack and a cabinet for the owner's collectibles.

A comfortable sofa near the central fireplace serves as a seating area, above which hangs a custom-made KHMARA clay lamp. 

In the center is a unique architectural building made of stone plaster. Like a frigate wind, it hangs a stone canvas around the room and warms the fireplace flame with the coziness of dancing.

"It may seem that the design is floating in the air, but the implementation process was extremely difficult. The room could retain its function even without the "wind", but the efforts made fully justified themselves visually, giving the room the necessary accents of freedom," say the designers.

Next to the window on the terrace is the work space, because the natural light from the window creates ideal insolation and makes the work process as pleasant as possible, and the natural light from the window that falls into the garden adds clarity to thoughts.

A black column was located in the middle of the wooden shelves. The relief texture and mat only emphasize the bold brutality of the architectural solution.
