The pandemic has changed the usual way of life of designers. Traditional exhibitions and festivals were canceled or postponed, so the organizers of the PRO DECÒ 2021 international conference decided to "bring Milan" to Ukraine and gather star heroes to talk about the intricacies of the profession.

Famous designers and decorators from 8 countries attended the conference. In the first half of the conference, they had the opportunity to attend master classes and lectures online, as well as listen to interviews and go on a design tour of the concept hotel. World design stars Paola Navone (Italy), Marcel Wanders (Netherlands), Fabrice Osset (France), Jordan Moser (USA), Sarah Folch (Spain), Adrienne Chinn (Great Britain), Cecile Moreau were the guests and honorary speakers of this part of the event. (France), Kateryna Tereshchenko (Ukraine).
"We wanted to talk with our star lecturers not about work, but about philosophy in the profession. If you need to recall their projects, you can always just open textbooks on the history of design. But they will hear from the first mouth reflections on the profession, which have passed through decades of practice - no," says Larisa Tsybyna, the idea behind the project.

The conference became an innovative event from the point of view of both the format of the event itself and the topic on which the emphasis was placed. Deeply and far-sightedly, the authors of the project removed from themselves and from the guests the limitation of talking only about the visible components of the design, shifted the focus from the object world itself to the field where the true value of decorative art and interior design is revealed on a person and the emotions that each of us experiences, being in spaces
"Don't make my peace small! Let me make your peace limitless," said Dutchman Marcel Wanders as if adding to Jordan Moser's words.

"We were all taught at universities about 'utility functions of design,' but few talked about emotions. In fact, you constantly need to think, study and create a synthesis of various types of art. All because spaces are formed to change the mood: to please, relax, calm and inspire," said the American interior mystifier and scenographer Jordan Moser in an interview with Anastasia Belogryvtseva.
Designer Paola Navone discusses this human-centeredness: "There are no ready-made design recipes. Every time it's an individual process, it's magic! And every time the main "component" in the magical interaction is the customer."

The organizer of the conference is Larisa Tsybyna and the moderator of the round table is Konstantin Kovshevatsky
The round table discussion was devoted to the creation of emotional spaces, and its participants were Oleg Volosovsky, Yuriy Zimenko, Oksana Dolgopyatova, Dmitry Sivak, Vitaly Kasynets, and Larisa Tsybyna. The talk was moderated by the chief editor of PRAGMATIKA.MEDIA Konstantin Kovshevatsky.
"Decoration is an art. And like any real art, the interior should mature beautifully," says designer Oleg Volosovsky.
The world is moving into a digital funnel of immateriality, and the surrounding space should testify to the reality of human existence, help to maintain the meaning of real life. Aromas, tastes, the play of light and shadow, halftones, textures and textures, music and ringing silence, warmth and coolness include and trigger our natural energy processes, which are so necessary for a full and fulfilled life. And this feeling can be enhanced by the "healers" of space, the wise conductors of aesthetic lines - architects, designers and decorators. Professionals who passionately study and practice design know about special things that significantly affect balance and emotions. And for their creation, designers have their own tools, each time customized to a specific customer.
The practical side of this magic was discussed with Ukrainian specialists during the round table held in the second part of the conference. The discussion was devoted to the creation of emotional spaces, and its participants were Oleg Volosovsky, Yuriy Zimenko, Oksana Dolgopyatova, Dmitry Sivak, Vitaly Kasynets and Larisa Tsybina. The professional talk was moderated by the chief editor of PRAGMATIKA.MEDIA Konstantin Kovshevatsky.
General partners of the event were Daylight, SUERTE, Manders, JUNG, Panoptikum Collections, PROJECT 900, TWLV. Objects of the interior, samples of noble textiles and paints, modern electrical fittings became part of two installations presented on the platform. The installations traditionally and modernistly played with popular ideas: nothing disappears without a trace, and even if it disappears from the material, it acquires a new meaning when it is reborn.
The new synergy between the brand partners and the profile event became an expression of the synthesis of arts and another tangible result of the PRO DECÒ 2021 conference.

"The key to good emotions is a complex of material components of quality of life, spiritual state and mental well-being. And if your interior over time turns into an increasingly close and familiar, but not grumpy old man, it will be much more pleasant for you to live together. We definitely cannot influence all aspects of harmony and well-being, but on high-quality smart fabric curtains, which will faithfully protect your sleep and at the same time condition the air in the room thanks to the reflection of ultraviolet radiation - well! Therefore, let's influence what we can influence, and let only positive emotions fill your spaces," summarizes Anastasiya Beletskaya.
