Vacation with a panoramic view of the Sierra Maldonado - Hotel Sacromonte Landscape

Hills covered with stone boulders and young vineyards in the eastern region of Uruguay, the architects of the local MAPA studio integrated 13 glass cabins of the Sacromonte Landscape hotel into this unique landscape.

The cabins, made in the traditions of radical modernism, with glass walls, transparent on the inside and mirrored on the outside, dissolve in the wild beauty of the Sierra Maldonado landscape.

Modular constructions were made in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, and then they were installed on foundations made of local stone. On the prepared podiums, there are areas with small pools and a place for breakfast under the open sky.

Cabin interiors balance between sophisticated luxury and minimalism. Each house has a kitchen area, and the decoration of one of the walls with wooden saws emphasizes the rural style.

The architects emphasized their commitment to the principles of sustainability, using glass with a heat-reflective coating, natural sources of spring water for water supply, and an ecologically clean system of wastewater treatment.

Lost among the vineyards, the cabins are ideal for introverts who want to get away from the hustle and bustle. Although there is a place for social life in the mountain hotel, a guest pavilion with a wine tasting room is hidden behind one of the hills. The hotel itself, the vineyards and the winery belong to the Sacromonte Crafted Wines group, which produces Merlot, Cabernet and Sauvignon wines.
