Offices in which spring is around the clock

/ Interior /
Green interiors can be perceived as vitamins for depression and avitaminosis, especially when spring is delayed. Landscaping of workspaces is one of the stable trends over the past 10 years, because office oases, if they do not increase labor productivity, certainly raise the mood of employees. However, the idea itself is not new - remember the windowsills with indoor violets and ficuses at your parents' work. But modern designers do not limit their imagination to a standard "pot set" - here are some green office projects implemented in 2017-2018.

Park-in-an-office for EVOLABLE ASIA

The common floor of the five-level office of the EVOLABLE ASIA IT company in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam is covered with an artificial lawn, into which tubs with live tropical plants are integrated.

Meetings and events are held here. You can sit on the lawn or stretch out to your full height when you are tired of working at the computer. The Park-in-an-office design was developed by the 07 Beach architectural bureau in partnership with Studio Happ.

The space is intended to stimulate the creativity of employees of a young and energetic company. Wavy lawns and abundant greenery create the illusion for employees that they are in a park. Openwork gazebos even fit on the lawn.

The meeting rooms of Evolable Asia resemble squash courts with multi-colored floors. They are separated from the hilly lawn by glass screens that can be folded to unite the spaces.

Jungle in concrete for Sony Music Entertainment

The interiors of the headquarters of the Sony Music Entertainment company in Amsterdam are designed in all shades of the green palette. Emerald floor coverings and furniture with green upholstery harmonize with the gray concrete of the walls and ceilings, and the abundance of living potted plants turns the space into a real jungle.

The new office interior of the young music business giant was created by the local design studio Space Encounters. They bet on color and illumination. On the ceiling are fixed aluminum trusses in the form of a grid with LED strips that provide even light without shadows.

The office is located in the recently restored A'DAM skyscraper, a 60s building on the banks of the Ei River. The 22-story building used to be the headquarters of Royal Dutch Shell, and now there are several nightclubs, hotels, and offices of companies working in the creative economy, such as Massive Music, Wink, and now Sony Entertainment. The abbreviation A'DAM stands for Amsterdam Dance And Music.

Greenhouse in the workshop for Äripäev

The office of the Estonian business newspaper, radio station and publishing company Äripäev in Tallinn is located in a historic building - at the beginning of the XNUMXth century there was a Luther plywood factory here.

In this historic space, the designers of the Arhitekt 11 studio managed to create a modern office space for 280 people. Limestone walls and concrete columns, beams and ceilings were carefully cleaned and now their surface gives the rooms a modern "loft" look. Having removed the ceilings and opened the glazed roof, the architects turned the entire upper floor into a winter garden, with an accent in the form of a five-meter ficus tree.

From plywood with birch veneer, the designers created a number of objects of the "room in a room" type. They housed negotiation rooms and offices. A space designed in this way with "streets" and "houses" illuminated from above by the sun's color creates the illusion for employees and visitors that they are under the open sky.
