Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree on a nationwide minute of silence to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died as a result of Russian aggression.

The president announced this during his address to the nation on March 16, 2022.

"Every morning at 9 o'clock on the entire territory of our country, we will remember Ukrainians who gave their lives, all those who fought, all soldiers and all civilians, adults and children. All who could still be alive if Russia had not started this war. Eternal memory to everyone who died for Ukraine," Zelenskyi said.

Thus, from March 17, every day at 9 a.m. in the territory of Ukraine, a minute of silence will be observed in memory of those who died as a result of the Russian invasion.
