Saplings were sent to five Ukrainian cities. In particular, Bucha received five thousand of them.
Another three thousand arrived in Chervonograd, Uzhgorod, Zhovkva, Sokal, where, according to the head of Donetsk OVA Petro Kyrylenk, residents of Pokrovsk found a reliable shelter.
"Roses are a small thank you for the warm welcome that was organized for our immigrants in these cities. The war will end, the displaced people will return, and the memory of them will remain in the form of roses," the message reads.
It is worth noting that the rose variety "Mir" received its name in 1945, after the victory in the Second World War.
"Today, in such a symbolic way, Donetsk region shares its desire for peace with the whole of Ukraine. I am sure that peace will come - a just peace after our victory," adds Petro Kirylenko.
