The Czech carrier RegioJet plans to launch direct flights Kyiv-Berlin and Kyiv-Hannover in 2024 together with Ukrzaliznytsia.

About this in interview The founder of RegioJet, Radim Yanchura, told Forbes.

"In partnership with Ukrzaliznytsia, we plan to launch Kyiv-Berlin flights, as well as Kyiv-Hanover via Leipzig and Dresden," Yanchura said.

By 2012, a direct train was already running between Berlin and Kyiv. According to Yanchura, this connection was interrupted due to the increase in the cost of travel through the territory of Germany, which made the route unprofitable.

Now the RegioJet train arrives in Przemyśl, Poland, where passengers transfer from the Ukrzaliznytsia train. Daily loading — from 300 to 500 passengers.

Next year, the company wants to launch direct flights Kyiv - Berlin and Kyiv - Hanover.

There are also plans to invest in Ukrainian railways, to electrify the Chop - Mukachevo section, and to build a passenger platform and a pedestrian bridge at the Mostyska-2 station.
