In mid-November, the Prix Versailles committee announced the winners of the world prize for architecture and design. Buddha-Bar New York received the prize for the best restaurant interior in North America from the Ukrainian team YOD Group.
The competition was founded in 2017 and is held annually. No Ukrainian studio has yet been among the winners. The focus of Prix Versailles is the intersection of design, art and economics. The award honors the best projects of shops, shopping malls, hotels and restaurants around the world.
Budha-Bar New York was opened in 2021 in Manhattan, New York. The designers faced the task of rethinking the well-known brand, the first branch of which was opened in 1994 in Paris. The main theme of the project was reincarnation. The decoration of the institution is a 4-meter Buddha statue made of glass slabs.
Previously, the institution has already become a laureate of several prestigious design awards: LIV Hospitality Design Awards, Architecture MasterPrize, Outstanding Property Design Awards.
