In the document, the company thanks public activists for their concern for the historical buildings of the capital.
"We share the importance of caring for the city's unique objects and realize the importance of preserving elements that reflect the architectural features and functional purpose of the building," assures Alla Ostrenska, director of Real Slavutych 1 LLC.
As the owner emphasizes, the decision to carry out major repairs was made after an expert inspection by the State Enterprise "Research Institute of Building Structures", which revealed the emergency condition of the roof, interfloor ceilings, part of the external walls and other structural elements. The letter notes that without comprehensive intervention, further operation of the building was impossible. At the same time, the company emphasizes that the purpose of the work is "to save the building from further destruction and give it a new life, and not to destroy or lose its authenticity."
LLC "Real Slavutych 1" declares that it supports the preservation and, if possible, restoration of the historical elements of the building. In particular, this concerns the architectural design of the facades, authentic structural and decorative details, metal elements of stair railings, historical window fillings and roller blinds, as well as preserved elements of engineering and production equipment that have historical value.
Separately, the letter states that the owner supports the preservation of the building's characteristic image and architectural silhouette, believing that it is they who shape its uniqueness and connection with the history of Podil.
We remind you that PRAGMATIKA.MEDIA consistently monitors the situation around the historical building at 4 Frolivska Street. We talked about its history and role in shaping the development of Podil; understood what actually happens during the overhaul and why it became the subject of public discussion; analyzed the technical condition of the building and its place in the historical context of Podil; talked about the technical solutions chosen to preserve the building, and also showed how the project combines the repair of a historical background building in Kyiv with new infrastructure and function. The owner's letter is an important continuation of this story, as it records a public commitment to preserving the authentic elements of the building.
