In a new chapter of her creative journey, Yakusha continues her exploration of light as a vital force — not just physical, but deeply human. Known for her philosophy of living minimalism, the designer strives to combine matter and spirit, tradition and innovation. This time, she turns her attention to the people who bring light to the everyday lives of those who, through skill and consciousness, illuminate the world around them.
Land of Light II brings together four Ukrainian artists from design, fashion, science, and art. Each of them is paired with a mythical creature, hand-crafted from ZTISTA, an eco-friendly material developed by Yakushi Studio. Together, they form a “constellation of inner light” that embodies wisdom, individuality, wonder, and tenderness.
The project presents:
-
Victoria Yakusha and her search for balance with the image of Trimudra;
-
Liliya Litkovska, a designer who embodies the power of self-expression with Zorehriv;
-
Maksym Kovalenko, a scientist who researches the quantum world from Dyvorih;
-
Roman Minin, an artist whose poetic resilience is embodied in Laskohraj.
All objects are handmade in Ukraine and reflect Yakushi's material philosophy - a modern mythology of stability, presence, and light that continues to shine even when the world trembles.
Viktoriya Yakusha is an artist, architect, and designer, recognized as a pioneer of the concept of living minimalism and an ambassador of Ukrainian design in the world. She heads the architectural studio Yakusha and the object design brand FAINA, in which she combines traditional craft, naturalness, and modern form, creating objects that have not only functional but also emotional depth.
