"About 9,5 thousand hectares of the forest of the Svyati Gory National Park were burned by the fire of war. 10 hectares - needs examination and disposal of explosive objects. These numbers scare us and make us think about what to do next and how to plan the restoration of the park," said Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection Olena Kramarenko.
Earlier, the Minister of Environmental Protection, Ruslan Strelets, instructed to "develop a step-by-step plan that will help restore the Holy Mountains."
Currently, environmentalists are carrying out demining on their own, the deputy minister noted. About 100 km of forest roads and approaches to fire reservoirs have already been demined.
According to preliminary calculations, the approximate damage to the environment of the Svyati Hora National Park caused by the occupiers is 16 billion hryvnias.
