The building of the "Dniester" hotel, located on Mateyka Street, on the hill opposite the I.Frank Park, was built in the 80s of the XNUMXth century according to the individual project of architects Lyudmila Nivina, Anatoly Konsulov and Yaroslav Mastyl in the style of Soviet modernism. The hotel is close to the historic center of the city, which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as close to architectural monuments.

In order to find the best architectural solution for the renovation of the "Dniester" hotel in terms of facade reconstruction and the planning organization of the entrance to the groups of rooms on the underground floor, the owners, namely PJSC "Dniester" tourist and hotel complex, ordered an All-Ukrainian open architectural competition for the best design proposal The partners of the competition are the Department of Architecture and Urbanism; Department of Urban Planning of Lviv City Council and Lviv Regional Organization of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine.

The prize for the first place is determined in the amount of UAH 200 (including taxes), for the second place it is UAH 150. for the third - UAH 100.
