The work "Bust of a Woman in a Floral Hat" will appear before the general public for the first time - before that it had only been seen in the artist's studio.

The artist painted the 80x60 cm oil painting in July 1943, when his relationship with Maar was coming to an end. Despite this, she remained one of his most important muses - Picasso created about 60 works related to her.
The painting was purchased in August 1944 by a French collector. Now his descendants have decided to put the work up for sale. The starting estimate is approximately 8 million euros, but auctioneers do not rule out that the price could increase.
