In the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, access to the caves with relics was closed: the commission checks the preservation of cultural values

Ministry of Culture and Information Policy informs, that access to the caves with the relics and the temples of the Lavra is currently closed.

It should be noted that on March 20, the leadership of the national reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" sent a letter to the monastery of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate with a notification about the inspection.

Relics of monks and other shrines are considered cultural and historical values. Prayer will also be impossible in several temples near the caves. In particular, access to the Church of the Ascension of the Cross, the Annozachatiiv Church and the Church in honor of the Cathedral of All Saints of Pechersk is suspended.
