Now they have released the second part of the guide and are already working on the third, reported in the organization.
In this collection, researchers of urban spaces talked about the layout of streets, buildings, facades and presented solutions for their restoration. The second part was combined with the first - as a conclusion, three new sections appeared in the book - "Zones", "Streets" and "Facades".
In the section "Zones" it is about the most typical types of buildings and the main solutions for their renewal. In particular, we are talking about the creation of new squares and parks, the reconstruction of buildings, the arrangement of streets and the activation of public spaces.
Section "Streets” contains detailed information about street models with typical elements of their filling, as well as arrangement options taking into account their purpose. Urban planners talk about pedestrian zones in commercial districts, streets in districts with different types of buildings, as well as district and city highways.
In the section "Facades” describe the rules for the arrangement of accessible and safe entrances, placement of signs, address indicators and awnings.
More than 50 specialists worked on the new part of the book, including Maksym Golovko, Anna Dzebluk, Alina Matsokha, Olena Melnyk, Amina Akhmedova, Anna Babak, etc. The illustrations were created by Anna Gavrilyuk.
The partners of the project were Depositphotos and NGO "Bezbariernost". It is implemented with the support of the Office of the President. Urbanin emphasizes that the publication is still in the process of being finalized, so the book is still being improved are invited all willing
