Exhibition VITALITÀ UKRAINA (Joy of life)

VITALITÁ UKRAINA - the ability to continue to live, create and develop, despite the sheer horror and darkness that exists around.

The exhibition passes through the "stone garden", which forms an ensemble of symbolic objects:

  • Trace as the identity of the Ukrainian people.
  • Clock, which symbolizes time, which is always on the side of life.
  • Birth as the beginning of a new free life.
  • A sunflower seed as unity and strength.
  • Wheat a symbol of the fertility of the Ukrainian land.
  • Zirka focus and lighting the way to the future.

Wall panel "Trace". Author: Alisa Lysikh

Wall panel symbolically presents us with a print and at the same time a topographical map.

Several levels are connected by red threads, which depict the geographical union between different regions of Ukraine. Each of these levels, having its own form and character, are connected and imply a unique, inseparable, identical bond of the nation. This decorative element of thread weaving aims to remind of the ancient traditional Ukrainian spinning technique.

Art object "Seed". Author: Marianna Yeleyko, graphics - Roksolana Dudka

The idea of the sculpture was inspired by the sunflower, which has been a symbol of fertility and well-being for Ukrainians since time immemorial. The seeds of this flower are naturally arranged in concentric spirals in accordance with the Fibonacci number series and thus form a perfect unity, just as the Ukrainian people are firmly united to fight against adversity.

Sunflower fields, like wheat fields, symbolize the yellow stripe of the Ukrainian flag. Inside the seed, in the white part, there is a three-dimensional drawing depicting the tree of life on which sunflowers grow.

The "Seed" sculpture consists of two types of marble fragments: one from Nero Marquino and the other from Carrara

Art object "Wheat". Authors: Anna Manako, Oleksandr Kysil

The sculpture consists of a dark base, which represents the exceptional fertility of the Ukrainian land, and many ears of corn, which rise abundantly upwards. This work reflects the fruitful creativity of the Ukrainian people, who want to rise to new perspectives and strengthen the world's resilience to disasters and hunger.

Spikes have a "living" texture thanks to pieces of travertine marble, and the base, representing the Ukrainian land, is made of pieces of Negro Marquino marble.

"Chas" coffee table. Author: Valeriya Vari

A small table called "Time" is inspired by observing the shapes of the sundial used in antiquity (meridian). In particular, its upper part is like a gnomon, which tells the time according to the projection of its shadow on the surface of the table like a dial.

The leg of the table is formed by a series of 30 circles of two alternating colors and is crowned at the 31st level with a plane that symbolizes 31 years since the restoration of Ukraine's independence in 1991. The table top is decorated with a gnomon, which is a logical extension of the conical shape of the table leg and hints at infinity, a bright Ukrainian future.

Collection of interior items "Zirka". Author: Alina Kravchuk

The composition offers two objects from the same collection - a wall panel and a chest of drawers. The image of a star is often depicted on Ukrainian Easter eggs - it represents the sun, fire and warmth. The dresser also has a decorative element on the front, which is intended to be a kind of reflection of the aforementioned panel.

The "Star" panel is divided into two halves of white Fior di Pesco marble with a surface treated with the "leather touch" technology

"Star" is also a reference point for many Ukrainians scattered all over the world, just like the northern star, which helps pave the way to their native home.

The composition "Birth" offers us two works - a panel and a coffee table. Both objects were created on several layers of marble, where the details were cut to minimize production waste and mimic the natural way of waste-free recycling.

The inside of the panel has a mirror that not only reflects light, but also allows the viewer to see his inner world and become an active part of the work itself.

A small table, in addition to a glass tabletop, has elements inside that are necessary both for the stability and balance of the object, and are designed to reflect the beginning of the manifestation of a new life. The objects symbolize the love of life and the associated process of birth and endless rebirth as the only way to overcome death.

The collection is made from the remnants of three types of marble, which alternate among themselves: Palissandro, green Calacatta and Estremoz.
