IDA Design Awards is an international award in the field of architecture and design that annually recognizes the strongest projects from around the world and shapes the current vector of industry development. The IDA Jury is a select group of industry experts from each of IDA's five disciplines: architecture, fashion, interior, product and graphic design.

In the “Apartments interior” category, in which metric bureau won, the jury selected only 13 works from applications from around the world.
Architecture MasterPrize is a world-class platform where works are evaluated and noticed in a professional environment around the world. With a highly expert jury, including: Dan Howarth – Dezeen / US Editor, Peter Cerno – Cerno+Architekten / Founder, Paloma Hernaiz and Jaime Oliver – OHLAB / Directors, and this year the jury included Ukrainian architect Serhiy Makhno and others.
About the apartment:
The apartment with the Lizard is a holistic, deeply personal space created for a creative couple and their cat, where every centimeter is thought out and filled with meaning.
Each area of the apartment is a separate story. There is a minimum of furniture, but each object is made to order. For example, a fur circle-lounger with a diameter of 2 meters is a place for relaxation with a view of the Dnieper, which is also a passage to two balconies lined with black mosaic. The floor, imitating water, creates the illusion of internal "pools" - an unexpected wow effect of the interior.
It is especially important that 80% of the furniture and interior elements are made by local Ukrainian manufacturers. This is not only supporting the economy during the war, but also proof that the craft approach of domestic craftsmen is capable of implementing innovative and complex design ideas at the highest level.
