In the preschool, the walls were insulated, old windows and doors were partially replaced, the heating system was completely replaced with an energy-efficient one, heated floors were installed in the playrooms, lighting was updated, and porches, roofs, and stairs were reconstructed.
Such modernization will allow the kindergarten to save 20% of energy. "Such a project is not only the first in Ternopil, but also the first in Ukraine," noted Ternopil Mayor Serhiy Nadal.
The project was implemented in accordance with the rules and with the funds of the European Investment Bank (EIB). The total cost of the project is about 28 million hryvnias.
Over the next two years, similar thermal modernization should be carried out in 19 more educational institutions of the city.
