Ukrainian refugees who emigrated to Poland due to the war have introduced an initiative to clean up the outskirts of cities.

A social action to clean up the territory was organized in Krakow, Poznan, Krotoszyn, Olsztyn, Poznań, Lodz, Warsaw, Rzeszów, Szczecin, Lublin and Katowice and other cities.

Ukrainian volunteers independently gather in communities to express gratitude to the Poles for a reliable shelter. They sweep the streets, paint fences, poles and alleys, collect garbage in parks and forests.
"We want to thank all Poles for their huge hearts. They opened their homes to us. We don't have money, but we have hands and a desire to work, that's why we came to the park today and are cleaning," - tells in an interview with Eska Łódź, one of the participants of the Sabbath in Łódź.
It is worth noting that it is springtime in Ukraine once every year held on the eve of Easter. Everyone who cares joins the event to clean the environment of garbage.
