In 2020, the Poles began to clean the streets with water from swimming pools, write White Mad. For this, they use communal pools, the water from which must be drained during summer technical inspections. However, instead of going down the drain, the liquid is reused.
"Water reuse is one of the environmental measures that can alleviate the current difficult hydrological situation. Cleaning services wash the streets and tram tracks with water from the pool.
The water is collected when the time necessary for the evaporation of the drugs used for its disinfection has passed. Therefore, it is neutral for people, the environment and the surfaces to be cleaned. In view of global climate change and the growing threat of drought, it is important to remember how valuable water is and how important it is to manage it rationally," says Robert Szymanskyi, deputy technical director of the City Clearing Board.
Wet cleaning is carried out in this way in Warsaw at least once a week in the summer.
