Project introduced director of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Mykolaiv City Council Yevhen Polyakov and architect Anna Kyriy.
According to the director of the department, the plans include the reconstruction of a modern educational institution, which has no analogues in the south of Ukraine.
"This is the largest school in Mykolaiv, the largest in Korabelny district. Our goal is to present how the school will look visually, what parameters to have. Education in Mykolaiv should be safe, face-to-face, modern. This is our future, and without it, the development of our city as a modern city is impossible," said Yevhen Polyakov.

Architect Anna Kyriy added that the priority is to create an institution with an ecological direction of education.

In project solutions, we embody the idea of creating a new educational and technological institution with an ecological direction of education. We are carefully preserving the building of the old school, giving new meanings to the spaces, and on the site of the destroyed part we are creating a new modern building with an exploited green roof, underground shelter and energy-saving technologies, noted architect Anna Kyriy.

The next step is to attract funds from the USA for the design and reconstruction of a school for the education of 1326 children. No funds from the local or state budget were spent on the work carried out.

The graphic materials were made within the framework of the memorandum between the Mykolaiv City Council, the vice-president of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine Olena Oliynyk, the charity fund from the USA "Sweetanok", the team of the Mykolaiv Municipality and Anna Kyriy's Architectural Project Group.
