In Lviv, new trees will be planted instead of those cut down during the reconstruction of Shevchenko Street

After the reconstruction of Shevchenko Street in Lviv, 104 trees were cut down, and 76 trees and 970 bushes are planned to be planted instead.

About this reports the Your city with reference to Mykola Vlasyuk, head of Lvivavtodor LKP.

"The Department of Ecology approved the planting of 46 trees. We found a place for another 30, which we can plant additionally. For 10 of them, we want to do the same as on the territory of the transport hub or Shevchenko Avenue: pull out the sidewalk, fill with fresh soil and plant low trees," he said.

According to ecologists, when choosing a place for planting trees, they pay attention to the characteristics of planting holes, so each tree will have its own plot.

It should be noted that a large part of the space where the trees were cut down has already been paved with tiles or paved with asphalt.
