In Lviv, more than a hundred applications were submitted for the restoration of historical gates and windows

The Heritage Bureau has closed its annual call for applications for the Co-Funding Program.

55 historical gates can get a chance for a second life. Another 41 applications were received for the restoration of windows and 9 applications for replacing metal-plastic windows with wooden ones. reported in the organization.

Specialists will undertake the restoration of these objects in 2 years. They are currently working on applications submitted by residents in previous years. 

"The collection of applications lasted from September 1 to 15. Thank you to everyone who decided to participate in the preservation of historic gates and windows in their homes. Such a large number of volunteers shows the high level of responsibility of the residents and trust in the co-financing program and our team", says Pavlo Bogajchyk, director of the "Heritage Bureau" LKP. 

Received applications will be considered within a month, and at the same time, answers will be sent to the residents of historic buildings.

The results with a list of addresses of buildings whose residents will participate in the co-financing program are promised to be made public later. 

The restoration of the gates involves covering 70% of the cost of the works from the city budget, 30% – paid by the residents. The city will finance the restoration of windows by 60%, and the share of co-financing for replacing plastic windows with wooden ones is 50% by 50%.
