Kyiv calls for urgent opening of second exit from Lukyanivska metro station

The NGO "Passengers of Kyiv" appealed to the management of the Kyiv Metro with a demand to repair and open the second entrance from the "Lukyanivska" metro station towards the "Kvadrat" shopping center as soon as possible.

This lobby currently remains closed after the shelling, although several years have passed, official sites of both clubs report in the community.

As a result, thousands of passengers are forced to walk to the metro every day through a narrow passage past cars moving through the McDrive. The video, shot over 20 minutes this morning, shows a heavy flow of pedestrians who are forced to move close to cars, which creates risks to their safety and additional discomfort.

The authors of the appeal emphasize that the restoration of the second exit will significantly relieve pedestrian traffic and make movement safer.

In addition, they propose to close the narrow car passage between the shopping center and the fence, leaving the space exclusively for pedestrians. According to them, visitors to the McDrive will be able to easily turn around through the existing parking lot and exit onto Illenko Street with further access to Degtyarevskaya or Belorusskaya Street.

The initiators hope for support for this idea from the city's Department of Transport Infrastructure and call on the metro to act promptly.
