Kyiv Ecological Cultural Center (KEKC) reported the, that on April 11, at a meeting of the environmental commission of the Kyiv City Council, they supported the decision to create two protected objects.
Both facilities will be located in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv and will play an important role in preserving the region's unique ecosystem.
The zoological attraction "Grow of Birds of Prey" will cover an area of 105 hectares near Feofania. Here you can find the black buzzard listed in the Red Book, the common buzzard, the goshawk and many other species that need to be preserved.
Deputy of the Kyiv City Council, Kseniya Semenova, who supports the initiative to create a protected zone, believes that such valuable cities are no longer preserved in Kyiv.
In turn, the natural object "Orchid Flood" in the Feofania region is planned to be declared a natural botanical monument of local importance. The estimated area will be 24,9 hectares.
"The largest population of the rare flesh-red orchid is found here. Previously, the population also came to the village of Khotiv, Kyiv region, however, it was destroyed due to the development of the territory.", - reported the Ksenia Semenova.
