In Kyiv, squares and recreation areas are emerging on the site of dismantled MAFs

In Kyiv, the massive dismantling of MAFs near metro stations continues. One of the reasons is that they impede access to the stations in case of danger. 

At the municipal enterprise “Kyivblagoustriy” showed, how the spaces near metro stations change after dismantling.

“Yes, the path from dismantling to full-fledged improvement is a long process. But the results speak for themselves. Where a few years ago there were rows of kiosks with narrow aisles, now there are squares, recreation areas, and inclusive spaces,” the company notes.

Recall that in May 2022, Decision No. 8 of the Kyiv City Defense Council came into force to unblock the entry and exit zones, as well as evacuation routes to metro stations that serve as shelters.
