According to informed Mayor of Kharkiv Igor Terekhov, fortunately, the teachers managed to lower the little ones to the simplest shelter in the same room in time, and as soon as the rescuers reached the basement, all 48 children were evacuated.
"But the horror that all of us, and especially the parents, experienced in a few minutes, while no one knew if everyone was alive, will remain in our memory forever," he added.
At the same time, a utility worker, a landscaper from the Shlyakhrembud municipal enterprise, who was cleaning the street, was killed as a result of the enemy attack. A woman sitting in a parked car and other utility workers were also injured.
