In German it will be called Odessa-Platz, reported on the official website of the capital district of Germany.
As noted in the department, this location is symbolic, because the Lichtenberg district borders the Karlshorst district, which is known for the fact that on May 8, 1945, the Act on the surrender of Germany in World War II was signed here.
"The Russian war against Ukraine is also very moving for us in Liechtenstein. By naming the square in the center of Karlshorst, we want to establish another visible sign of solidarity with Ukraine from Lichtenberg. I would like to thank everyone for the already shown solidarity and concrete support of the people of Ukraine", - said the mayor of the district, Michael Grunst.
