Kyiv City State Administration reported the, that currently near the subway stations, the dismantling of MAFs, which prevent citizens' access to shelters and storage facilities, continues. Buildings are temporarily moved from their locations.
"Strengthening the system of protection of citizens and unimpeded access to shelters and vaults is an undisputed priority both in the current dire realities and in the future, as the issue of security and defense will remain the number 1 issue. We hope that the owners of MAFs also understand this and patiently submit to the need to clean up the territory near the subway," said Petro Panteleev, Deputy Chairman of the KMDA.
One of the areas that was completely freed from MAFs was the area around the "Polytechnic Institute" metro station. In addition, asphalting and landscaping were carried out there.
The list of what is planned to be removed from evacuation routes for free access of people to shelters and shelters includes temporary commercial, domestic, social, cultural or other purpose structures for business activities near ground entrances and exits of subway stations, public transport stops, near protective buildings and shelters of civil protection of the population.
"All owners of temporary structures are informed of the need and reasons for such a decision. Within a three-day period, the owners must independently dismantle and relocate the outlets. "Unfortunately, if this is not done, we will be forced to carry out dismantling by the KP forces and transport the structures to the penalty area," explains Panteleev.
