Silpo Supermarket Wins International Award for Esports Design

The Silpo supermarket in Lviv won the EuroShop RetailDesign Award 2026 in the Food category.

This is the first award for Ukraine in the history of this competition, said press service of the supermarket.

The award is presented every three years during EuroShop, the world's largest retail trade fair, held in Düsseldorf. This year, the jury selected the winners from 122 projects from 30 countries.

The award went to the Silpo supermarket, opened in October 2024 in Lviv in collaboration with the NAVI (Natus Vincere) esports club.

The concept of the space immerses guests in the world of cyberculture — from the first computers to modern eSports.

The interior is filled with thematic details: the entrance sign was formed from keyboard keys, the cashier areas were designed as microcircuits, and one of the cashiers has the number 404.

The design is complemented by graphic elements with program code from the Silpo website, and in the drinks area, guests enter a stylized server room. An interesting detail of the supermarket is the image in the style of Windows Silpo 98 — the year the network was founded. A separate space is dedicated to e-sports and NAVI, where moments of the team's most famous victories are broadcast.

We remind you that “Shop of Traditions” from the Silpo supermarket chain Launched a cultural project that aims to return the name of Kazimir Malevich to the Ukrainian context through design and educational interventions in urban space.
