All 85 apartments of the same size are organized around a central kitchen, which serves as both a place for cooking and the main communication space.

The jury praised the project for its innovative approach to social housing that promotes integration and flexibility. The head of the jury, the founder of the Amateur Architecture Studio, Lu Venui, called the project a "worthy winner", because it sets new standards for future architectural developments.
"This project creates a space that is not limited by stereotypes about the family, but promotes joint interaction and connections in the community," said Venue.

The project won the victory, ahead of the office building Jacoby Studios in Germany (David Chipperfield Architects) and the Museum of Photography in Liangzhou, China (O-office Architects). RIBA President Muyuwa Oki emphasized that 85 Social Dwellings is an example of how architecture can address the global challenges of affordable housing.
"This bold concept embodies the spirit of change and is a model for creating sustainable and high-quality housing around the world," said Oki.
