The tallest skyscraper in Western Europe will appear in a small Danish town

The skyscraper Bestseller Tower, designed by Dorte Mandrup Arkitekter for the small town of Branne in Denmark, will become the tallest building in Western Europe.

The Bestseller Tower will have a height of 320 meters and will surpass the 310-meter London Shard, designed by the Italian architect Renzo Piano, but will not compare with the tallest building in Eastern Europe - the 462-meter "Lakhta Center" built according to the RMJM project in St. Petersburg.

The tallest skyscraper in Western Europe will be located in the small town of Branne with a population of only 7 people. The client of the project was the Danish clothing brand Bestseller, whose head office is based in this locality.

In the future, the skyscraper will house a hotel, a conference hall, shops and offices. Bestseller Tower will become part of a whole complex of buildings. Lower buildings are grouped at the foot of the tower - all with "green roofs" imitating the local landscape.

Although the main purpose of the project is to place Bestseller's offices and stores there, the complex will create a new environment for local residents, including opportunities for work, shopping, leisure and entertainment.

The skyscraper has already received permission from the local authorities, the completion of construction is scheduled for 2023.
