"Ivan Giorhiyovych Juha just called. The local history museum in Mariupol, the place where our heritage was kept, burned down. It is not known what was saved," he said.
In particular, according to him, the museum named after A.I. Kuindzhi, as well as a monument to Metropolitan Ignatius.

It is worth noting that the Mariupol Museum is considered the oldest museum in the Donetsk region - it was opened in 1920. There were 7 exhibition halls and a scientific library, the book collection of which included about 17 copies.

The museum itself contained 53 unique exhibits. Among them are the charter of Catherine II to the Christian Greeks who were expelled from the Crimean Khanate in 1778–1780 and settled in the Northern Azov region, the shroud of 1760, and the Gospel of 1811.
