Most of the winners are located in London, but the list also includes properties from Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and other regions of England, reported the Dezeen.
Founded in 1966, the RIBA National Awards annually celebrate the country's best architectural projects and reflect current trends in British architecture and urban development.

This year's winners include a rammed earth house in Wiltshire, a new university campus for University College London (UCL), a cottage in Plockton, Scotland, as well as a range of projects revitalizing historic buildings, cultural spaces and modern housing.

According to the chairman of the jury of the award, Neil Gillespie, this year's winners demonstrate that even in difficult conditions, architects, together with clients, are able to create high-quality and socially valuable spaces.

“In projects of varying scales, functions, and typologies—from the restoration and reuse of existing buildings to new construction—architects have placed people and place at the center of their work,” Gillespie noted.
London winners include the Paddington Square renovation by Renzo Piano Building Workshop, the new Sadler's Wells East theatre by O'Donnell + Tuomey, and the UCL East Marshgate campus designed by Stanton Williams.

Outside the capital, the jury recognized the Rammed Earth House by Tuckey Design Studio in Wiltshire, The Apple House educational and health center by Okra architectural studio in Hertfordshire, and two modern extensions to York Minster by Tonkin Liu Architects.

The only winner from Scotland was Iorram Cottage, designed by Baillie Baillie Architects in Plockton. The shortlist also included the renovated Pantybara Farm in Wales and the Tollymore House in Northern Ireland.
All RIBA National Awards winners are automatically considered for inclusion in the Stirling Prize shortlist, the UK’s most prestigious architecture award. The shortlist for the prize will be announced on 16 July.
