Soviet symbols on the building of the Kharkiv City Council will be replaced by Ukrainian symbols

The symbols of the Soviet period on the building of the Kharkiv City Council will be replaced with Ukrainian ones.

"This symbolism will certainly be removed. Now we have closed it because we don't want to spend extra money," - informed Mayor Ihor Terekhov in an interview with Dumka.

Since the building of the city council is an architectural monument and changes require approvals, currently the symbolism is simply masked with fabric. According to Terekhov, after several sketches with Ukrainian symbols are developed and the city authorities choose the final version, then their final replacement will take place.

We will remind you that all elements of Soviet symbols on the building of the Kharkiv City Council were masked back in July 2022.
