Despite the war, a factory for the production of cereals is being built in Cherkasy

Despite the war, an enterprise specializing in the production of food products from grain will be opened in the Cherkasy region. Currently, construction works are underway here.

The company will work both on the domestic and foreign markets, informed Ihor Taburets, head of Cherkasy OVA.

According to him, the construction of the plant will start in the fall of 2021. The works were supposed to be completed in the first half of 2022, but due to a full-scale invasion, they did not have time. However, they still plan to implement the project - a significant part of the construction work has already been completed, and now they are working on the arrangement of the facades.

"Our entrepreneurs not only get used to work in the current realities, but also implement new projects. Here is another confirmation - the construction of a plant for the production of cereals. At meetings with farmers, we often talk about the fact that the region should not only grow and export, but also produce finished products, creating added value. This project is exactly about that," wrote the head of the Cherkasy OVA.

According to the head of the enterprise, Andriy Ruchkin, this plant will be the first production facility in Ukraine that will specialize exclusively in grain processing.

"There are similar plants in Ukraine, but there is no such plant anymore, which is designed exclusively for the processing of groats. Life does not stop and no one will be better off if we stop, if people are patriots, then they know that the war will end sooner or later and there is no point in wasting this time," he explained.
