"This is the first such center in the region and the fourth of those currently operating in Ukraine. Because we still have three active seed sowing lines - in Lviv, Khmelnytskyi and Ternopil regions. Last year, such a center was opened in the Lyman Forest Farm in Donetsk region," the official says.

In addition, during the year they plan to open similar forest seed factories in regions where there are no active hostilities.
"The plant in Zhytomyr Oblast will produce 5 million coniferous seedlings with a closed root system per year. This technology makes it possible to extend the period when the weather conditions allow planting a forest," - notes Strelets.
We will remind you that the forests of the region suffered not only during the war, but also as a result of large-scale forest fires, the consequences of which will take decades to eliminate.
