They are proposed to be placed in bomb shelters and safe rooms, which are currently not used for their original purpose.

On June 7, an event was held at the "Furniture Technologies" production facility, where samples of modular furniture were demonstrated to architects, designers and media representatives Mod.ua and familiarized the attendees with the concept of the CAMPUS modular town developed by the loft buro team.

The founder of the company, Oleg Volosovskyi, spoke about his successful experience in arranging public spaces, which helped in developing the idea of temporary housing for displaced people. Also, before the war, the architects managed to complete the Stalker hostel project in Chernobyl.

In general, it took the team a month and a half to create several options of modular furniture according to European standards. Objects are designed for any room - from a bomb shelter to a gym.

Modular structures are divided not only by purpose, but also by the material of manufacture - wood or metal. The latter, in particular, are proposed to be installed mainly in bomb shelters and barracks.

"We decided that we can also offer our soldiers other living conditions, with different comfort and with the correct size of the bed," Oleg Volosovsky notes.

According to the architect, anyone can assemble the module. For example, they promise that it will take about two hours with the minimum effort of two people.

Two aspects pushed the development team to such an initiative:

1) the issue of arranging bomb shelters. After the full-scale invasion of Russia on the territory of Ukraine, people were forced to hide in old and empty basements, shelters and underground parking lots;

2) the problem of the transitional stage, since it is already necessary to provide temporary housing for those who lost their homes as a result of the war. It is much faster to make such modular furniture than to build a modular house. Therefore, the authors of the idea propose to install residential structures in empty office or administrative buildings in order to give displaced people a roof over their heads before the cold weather.

In two to three months, with the help of Mod.ua modular furniture, the housing issue for tens of thousands of people can be solved, emphasizes Oleg Volosovskyi

By the way, some rooms equipped with these structures can be repurposed into hostels after victory.

Only Ukrainian manufacturers will be involved in the partnership, which will create additional jobs and help domestic entrepreneurs. In addition, Oleg Volosovskyi noted that 25 manufacturers who have materials and the ability to create modules have already united in a single platform to facilitate the implementation of projects during the war and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

During the second part of the event, the concept of CAMPUS modular houses, which loft buro created together with Module House, was presented. The authors draw attention to the difference between the development and the temporary housing structures that are currently delivered from Poland or Germany. In particular, energy efficiency, quick installation and convenient installation are highlighted.

The term of production of such a structure in the shop is two months, then it reaches the site completely ready, where the module is assembled within two to five days. The walls, floor and ceiling of the house are formed by energy-efficient sandwich panels. The developers emphasize that glued beams and sandwich panels provide a strong self-supporting frame resistant to deformation. Its strength allows the transport of modules with already installed windows, interior and exterior fittings, built-in furniture and engineering.

The buildings will be two- or four-story, and they can be furnished with the help of furniture Mod.ua. The settlements will have infrastructure, they are planned to be located outside the cities, and in the future they will be transformed into children's camps or agrotourism centers.
