The Pantone Color Institute announced the main color of 2025 – PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse. This rich, velvety shade of brown symbolizes warmth, sophistication and sweet nostalgia.

Mocha Mousse is more than a color, it is a true visual embodiment of simple joys in life, such as the first sip of a perfect cappuccino or the soft taste of a luxurious truffle, they say at Pantone. This soft brown shade is not only reminiscent of the natural colors of chocolate, coffee and cocoa, but also encourages you to appreciate every moment of everyday happiness.

“Mocha Mousse is more than just a color, it's a sensory experience. It calls us to slow down, enjoy life's small luxuries, and find beauty in the ordinary," says Litris Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.

On the evening of December 5, one of the most famous attractions - the London Eye - will shine with the warm glow of Mocha Mousse. The light show will transform this historic building into a giant cup of visual warmth for Londoners and tourists alike.

This is just the beginning of Pantone's global campaign, with events in New York, Shanghai and Mumbai following, including interactive installations and immersive color shows.

“Mocha Mousse offers a soothing alternative to a chaotic world. It combines earthy naturalness with refined elegance, making it an ideal choice for both modern interiors and fashion solutions. From cozy textiles in the living room to stylish wardrobe elements, this universal shade brings harmony to any space," the Institute said in a statement.

Lori Pressman, vice president of the Pantone Color Institute, emphasized the deeper message of the color of the year: “Mocha Mousse is about connection: with yourself, the world around you, and the people around you. It's a reminder that even in our fast-paced, technocentric lives, there is beauty in stopping and enjoying the present."

This year, Pantone celebrates the 26th anniversary of the "Color of the Year" initiative and is doing everything possible to make the new shade part of our everyday life. From designer palettes to pop-up events in city centers, Mocha Mousse will be part of interiors, wardrobes and even coffee cups in 2025.
