Oscar-winning director Michel Hazanavicius donated €125 for the reconstruction of the hospital in Izyum

The famous French film director and Oscar winner Michel Hazanavicius made a contribution of 125 euros to the Elena Zelenska Foundation. 

The funds will go towards the reconstruction of the Izyum city hospital, which was partially destroyed and looted by the Russian military, write NV

The publication notes that the director organized a charity auction. It was attended by dozens of representatives of the film industry from all over the world, who exhibited their personal belongings as lots. In particular, Tom Hanks provided a typewriter from his personal collection, Catherine Deneuve - her own cosmetic bag, Alain Delon - a photo from a movie Swimming pool, printed on wood, Natalie Portman - several rare posters with her autograph. And musician Thomas Bangalte from the band Daft Punk put up for auction the robot helmet from the movie Daft Punk's Electroma.

A total of 250 euros was collected during the auction. Michel Hazanavicius donated half of them to the UNITED24 initiative, and the other half to the Elena Zelenska Foundation.

The funds provided by the Foundation will be used to rebuild the Izyum City Hospital, which served as a support medical facility for almost 150 people. Now the buildings of the medical facility have been partially destroyed, and the surviving medical equipment has been looted by the Russian occupiers.
