About this reports the Renovation map.
Representatives of the public organization note that on August 6, the local condominium began to destroy the bridge at the street address. Olesya Honchara, 60.
"In Kyiv, another architectural monument is under threat of disappearance... So far, the builders have already dismantled the brick columns and fences," the publication says.
Activists say that the bridge, which they undertook to destroy illegally, belongs to the architectural ensemble of the Lapynska manor. It was erected in 1908. According to the order of the representative of the president (No. 105 dated 17.02.1994), the building has the status of an architectural monument.
As the Department of Cultural Heritage Protection managed to find out, the condominium did not receive any permits for the work during which the authentic parts of the bridge were dismantled. The inspector of the department has already visited the facility, so the balance keeper will soon receive a prescription.
"The head of the condominium assures that this is a "repair on our own." But such a phrase does not exempt from responsibility. After all, such "renovations" are something that can irreparably harm the architectural heritage. Any work on monuments must be coordinated with relevant departments and this is not a random rule, but a necessity," the public organization explains.
In addition, monuments cannot be rebuilt or dismantled without an agreed project, activists add. Therefore, professional restorers must be involved in any restoration or conservation work.
The residents of the building put the century-old bricks from the elements of the bridge into bags. What will happen to her next is unknown. Although authentic materials are necessary for the restoration of such historical objects, that is why it is extremely important to preserve the original bricks.
