"FUTURA challenges the usual and everyday, setting unprecedented standards of Ukrainian architecture. Nature-centeredness, architecture as a continuation of the landscape and design as an embodiment of natural principles became our basis," says the description of the object.
The architects chose black as the dominant color in the aesthetics of the project, because it is natural and reflects the essence of the client's activity — the metallurgical industry.
Optimizing funds and processes, the team proposed rebuilding the building envelopes with light and undemanding, but visually impressive components: sheet metal ventilated facade modules on the central building plus structures made of I-beams, wood panels, metal and glass on the side buildings.
In the middle of the square rises the gigantic DIDO, an author's sculpture by MAKHNO Product. And on the roof of the central building there is an urban garden. Zoned and composed of many elements, such as cocoon gazebos, a sculpture alley, a fountain with a DUMA sculpture and many other objects that add beauty and meditativeness to this place.
"For us, the goal of the project was to make something non-standard and provocative, with an open space for studying, working and relaxing. A new control point of the city, which could become a model for the future neighbors of the complex," comments the studio team.
