"Dismantling must take place strictly in accordance with the law, so we sent a request to the management. At the beginning of September, we are waiting for their answer, and after that we will be able to make design and estimate documentation and start dismantling," Kudashkin notes.
It is not yet known what will take the place of the symbols of the USSR. They plan to involve architects, designers, historians and cultural experts to discuss possible options.
By the way, earlier, according to the information of the "Decommunization Ukraine" organization, the "Station Company" branch of the "Ukrzaliznytsia" joint-stock company refused to remove Soviet symbols from the station building of the Odesa-Holovna station.
According to the explanation, "all decorative elements used in the architectural design of the interior and exterior of the station building are the embodiment of the author's idea and have a high artistic, architectural and historical value and cannot be considered separately from the landmark building."
