About Mykola Levchuk, a resident of Drevyny village tells edition of BUG. He laid out patterns from plastic bottle caps on the facade of his house.
The man used to paint pictures, but due to an accident and an injury to his hand, he had to give up his favorite work. Then he was inspired by the idea of decorating his own home with plastic lids.
"I collected lids for 16 years. But not every day, but several days a month. I mainly looked for them in the winter. But if you count all the days, then more than a year will definitely turn out to be the time spent collecting lids," says the master.
At first, the peasant created all the drawings on paper, selected the colors, then practiced laying out the patterns on the floor.
"After that, I measured the wall, made special calculations and drew small squares on the surface of the house, smoothed with primer, in order to know exactly where to attach the cap, and wrote exactly what color it should be there. And after that, I took a cover with frost-resistant glue for external use, so that it would last longer," Mykola Levchuk explains.
The master began work in 2021, and finished it in the spring of 2022. In addition to the house, he decorated the path to the house and the summer kitchen. In total, the artist used about 20 caps for the purpose.
Next, the man dreams of creating patterns for the entire facade of the house, and for this he needs more lids, which he continues to collect:
"We need white and yellow the most, because they are now rare for some reason. And it's hard to find them."
