Navigation will be installed throughout the station complex and in the underpass.

About this reported in KMDA.

The work is carried out at night, when there are no passengers at the station. The indicators are applied using the cold plastic method - it is fast, convenient and does not damage the granite surface.

“Unlike tactile tiles, cold plastic is more economical, although it performs the same function - helping people with visual impairments navigate and move safely in a certain space,” the Kyiv City State Administration said.

Several stages of consultation and testing were carried out before the work began: after the indicators were applied, they were tested by visually impaired passengers. The system was refined and improved thanks to their feedback and completed questionnaires.

Passengers were also reminded that the metro provides a service to escort passengers from low-mobility groups. To do this, you must call 044-238-55-11 at least an hour before the trip.
