A piece of the suspended ceiling fell in the Kyiv metro near the entrance to the Teremky station. A piece of the ceiling also fell on the platform of the Chernihivska station.

About this reported the press service of the Kyiv Metro.

On the evening of February 15, at around 22:30 p.m., a suspended ceiling partially collapsed at one of the exits. The collapse at Teremki was caused by damage to the structures during previous shelling.

“Some of the defects were hidden and were not noticeable during visual inspections. At the same time, preparatory work was carried out for further partial repair of the exit. Currently, specialists continue to inspect the suspended ceiling system and the station's underground passage in general,” the metro press service said.

Currently, the Teremky metro station in Kyiv is operating without changes - trains run on schedule.

Representative of the subway press service Oksana Nykyforuk in comments "Ukrainian Pravda" reported that there were also no casualties at the "Chernigivska" station.

“The plaster fell there. It was promptly removed. The cause is currently being investigated. Specialists will additionally examine both stations – “Chernihivska” and “Teremky,” said Nikiforuk.

We remind you that the NGO “Passengers of Kyiv” turned to the management of the Kyiv Metro with a demand to repair and open the second entrance from the Lukyanivska metro station towards the Kvadrat shopping center as soon as possible.
